Reading your blog I find myself agreeing with the overall theme (of which I hope I have correct) that New Zealand isn't this paradise that most people think. The statistics you use are alarming and yet I have a feeling this country has a long way to go before it matures. Really like what you have written so far. The only point I could make is that maybe the text size at the end could be changed to what you have at the start. I'm guessing this has something to do with transferring from word to the blog as I had the same problems. Still really interesting to read.
We all know that the divide between the wealthy and poor is getting bigger in New Zealand but I had no idea it was to this extent. The use of statistics made the argument more persuasive than what I have heard before when people have discussed it. I also thought the graph showing the index of health, social problems / income inequality was useful to show exactly where we stand in the grand scheme of things because up until then I still was wondering what it would be like in other countries. Would have loved to possibly see what your thoughts/solutions would be in regards to getting the gap a little smaller.
