A brief idea of what I will be writing about:
Memories of innocence are haunting, they fuel anger and make the fire burn even stronger. Why did he have to have this burning desire to be more like the avatar, a light in the dark? All he knows is how to destroy and gain honor through people fearing him? Zuko is on his quest, a quest to find himself? identity? justice?
He remains driven by the anger inside of him, an anger that is sourced from rejection from his own family. The memories keep coming back to Zuko, and good willed people are constantly placed along his path. He is constantly surrounded by snippets of joy, a hint of what he truly desires; perhaps a divine intervention to help him realise his true destiny. What Zuko doesn't realise is that his mother (although dead) would forever fight for his inner peace. I am going to go into the mind of Zuko and show the transformation within him relation to pivotal events ( and key people) that spark the transformation. This will essentially be a character's inner monologue of resistance, to revelation.
Great idea doing a story based on Zuko and not ang. With this you won't be limited to the juvenile behaviours that Ang displays. Zuko being more alike us, it will be easier for a reader to relate to him. It would be good to explain what time period this is set because it would be good for the reader to know whether or not Ang is around to play a role in Zuko's life, or if this is pre-Ang
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome twist on Zuko. I have never thought of him as having all these inner conflicts so I can't wait to see how it goes. Looking forward for more.
ReplyDeleteNice idea. The character Zuko is an intriguing one. I imagine a 1st person POV could possibly show Zuko's mindset, thoughts etc, most effectively, but I could be wrong.
